Wall Centre

One Wall Centre at 938 Nelson Street is a 48-storey, 74-unit concrete tower by Wall Financial Corporation, completed in 2001 and designed by Perkins and Will. At 491 feet, it briefly held the position of tallest structure in Vancouver and remains one of the most recognizable profiles on the downtown skyline — its distinctive two-tone elliptical glass facade the result of a well-documented compromise during construction over the opacity and colour of the glazing.

The building combines a Sheraton hotel on the lower floors with 17 levels of exclusive residential condominiums above, starting at floor 31. With only four suites per floor, the residential component is genuinely boutique — 64 to 74 units in a 48-storey tower. Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, air conditioning, nine-foot ceilings, gas fireplaces, hardwood floors, island kitchens, and Sub-Zero, Miele, and Bosch appliances. The oval floor plate produces layouts that are unlike anything else in downtown Vancouver.

Residents have access to the full Sheraton amenity infrastructure: spa, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, full gym, 24-hour concierge, private chauffeur on call, and room service from the hotel. Guest suites and a common kitchen lounge are also available.

The building sits at Nelson and Burrard, placing residents within walking distance of Robson Street, the Vancouver Art Gallery, BC Place, Rogers Arena, the False Creek seawall, and Yaletown. Granville and Vancouver City Centre SkyTrain stations are both within a ten-minute walk.
